Reiki, meaning "Universal Life Energy," is an ancient Japanese healing technique that has been practiced in the United States since 1938. It works by healing the body, mind, and spirit through adjustments to the chakras, energy pathways, physical body, and spiritual light bodies. Ki (also known as chi, prana, or biofield energy) is the vital life force that sustains and animates all living beings. Reiki is a special form of Ki, guided by spiritual consciousness, or Rei.
In a healthy individual, Ki flows freely and is balanced throughout the body and auric field. When Ki is disrupted or blocked, it can cause imbalances, resulting in physical illness and mental or emotional distress. Reiki works by clearing these blockages and replenishing the body with healthy, vibrant Ki, allowing for natural healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki not only restores physical health but also heals spiritual and mental blocks, helping to remove barriers that prevent you from living your healthiest and most fulfilled life.
Reiki energy is channeled through the hands of a trained practitioner. Because this energy is guided by a higher consciousness, it is always perfectly attuned to each individual's needs and can never cause harm. Moreover, the Holy Fire® Reiki energy represents a higher vibrational level of Reiki, offering even greater healing potential and supporting your personal and spiritual growth on a deeper level.

Reiki is a powerful yet gentle healing energy that is guided by a higher consciousness. The Holy Fire® aspect of Reiki represents a newer, even higher vibrational energy that first emerged in 2014. Currently in its third iteration, this energy continues to evolve and grow alongside humanity’s consciousness, becoming increasingly potent with time.
Holy Fire® Reiki allows us to deepen our connection to our authentic selves (our souls) helping us ignite and fully reveal the light we carry within. Since its inception, the Holy Fire® energy has grown in tandem with the collective consciousness of humanity, becoming more effective in its healing abilities.

World Peace Reiki was introduced in 2022 with the intention of helping individuals cultivate and maintain inner peace, regardless of external circumstances. This energy works to support a deep sense of calm, harmony, and balance, helping the practitioner remain centered even in challenging situations. As this energy evolves within each person, it allows them to embody peace on a deeper level, fostering a greater capacity to radiate peace outwardly into the world.
The purpose of the World Peace upgrade is to allow for online teaching and learning. It also focuses Reiki energy towards obtaining peace for humanity.

The Reiki symbols play a crucial role in directing the flow of Reiki energy by signaling specific changes in how the energy functions. The power of the symbols lies in the attunement process, which occurs during a Reiki class. This process allows each symbol’s energy to enter the student, creating a direct connection between the symbol and the student’s mind and body. When the practitioner invokes a symbol during a Reiki session, the energy linked to that symbol is activated within the student and flows through them to the receiver/client.
In essence, the Reiki symbols act as a "light switch," activating and opening the channel for the specific Reiki energy to flow. This means that a Reiki professional who has not received the Placement or Ignition from a certified teacher is not working with the same energy. While their healing may still be somewhat effective, it will not be directly connected to the Reiki Source, meaning it will not have the same strength, depth, or transformative power as that of a certified Reiki healer. Additionally, it is likely they are not working with the upgraded energy of Holy Fire® Reiki.

For those who are currently certified in Usui or Usui/Tibetan Reiki, the short answer is, “Yes!” If you’ve already taken training and have certification as a Reiki Practitioner (Levels I, II, or III), you can get re-attuned for the same level you are certified. Please contact me if you are interested in this option.
